The Padovan Method

The PadovanMethod of Neuro-Functional Reorganisation (N.F.R) is a natural, holistic,
hands-on therapy. It is based on the physiological developmental stages such as rolling,
creeping, crawling, walking in order to stimulate and re-organise the Nervous System
pathway.

The developmental stages are innate and comes naturally in every infant within the right
environment, and bring integration and maturation of the whole Nervous System. This is
the base for a healthy growth which facilitates the acquisition of advanced skills later in
life, such as reading, writing, walking, talking, logical thinking, and conducting
interpersonal relationships. The natural, complex and dynamic process of the nervous
system’s organisation leads to a neurological maturation.
Thus, a delay or disorder (language, motor, articulation, learning, etc.) reflects a
dysfunctional and compensatory organization of the nervous system that prevents the
individual from optimally developing their skills in motor, sensory, cognitive and social
aspects.

The aim of Padovan Method is to reorganize neurological circuits responsible for various
human activities through specific stimulations In order to restore functions that are lost,
or impaired, but also to train intact functions to achieve full potential and wellbeing.

The Padovan Method is based on 5 main principles:

  • Walking, talking, thinking process elaborated
  • The Neurological Organisation
  • Observation from the natureevolution of the human being
  • Neuroplasticity (rhythm, repetition, regularity)
  • Oral functions and integration of all above elaborated by Beatriz Padovan
